Robert Macaire magnetiseur (Caricaturana #88, published in Le Charivari in 1838) Like many of his contemporaries, Daumier was very interested in the new hypnosis phenomena. Even in those days, the Académie carried out remarkable research on the findings of the renowned hypnotist Berna.

Professeurs et Moutards #13 (Published in Le Charivari in 1846) In the series named Professeurs et Moutards consisting of 32 lithos, Daumier characterises and criticises the French educational system, which was the subject of fierce debate during the mid-19th century.
